Protecting Your Photos

I once thought about removing the Copyright marker from my photos. Sometimes I find it distracting and sometimes I just can't figure out where to put it.  I don't even know if there are rules to Copyright markers.

So I thought "Who's going to steal my photos anyway? I mean, they're not worth stealing!"

And then I saw this...

Photo:  My tummy at 39 weeks (taken a couple of days before I gave birth).  Been looking at my preggy photos lately--to see how much I've lost.

that is really scary. i've been quite lazy putting my signature recently and in fact, i've posted photos without watermark.

but after reading the article, i guess, i should put watermarks in all my photos. thanks for sharing, liz!

cuz, this is such a darling photo of you and charles! i'm glad you were able to take preggy photos just before you gave birth.

i saw this on the news and i was like, i wonder how many other photos were unwittingly "stolen" without the owners ever knowing. it's really a scary thought.

thanks for sharing. ka scary pud sa news of photo stealing oi. don't forget to put a signature sa photos ni lucas. he might end up on cereal covers in africa. sa u.s. kay mas careful man sila on copyright but in other countries i think wala sila ana nga mga rules.

this is a very good charles capture. =)

A friend of mine once told me to always put watermark on my photos and to make it bigger. I thought nobody is going to steal photos but I was proven wrong by this article. Ayaw gyud kalimot attach watermark on your photos Ai!

hi cuz! take gyud lots of preggy photos 'coz you never know--we might just get pregnant once, hehe!

one time, one of my landscape photos ended up in somebody else's facebook account. I was a bit annoyed but since she was a friend of mine, I didn't make a big fuss about it. So we never really know where our uploaded photos might end up showing.

Hi Chi! Maayo unta sa Cereal Covers lang maabot ang photos. So funny 'coz Charles was saying "OK ra kawaton ang photos ni Lucas--basin hinuon masikat!" And I was like "well it depends kung asa gamiton. what if you see his photo in a big ad that reads--Give a Dollar, Asian children in need"! Perteng luoya:-)

About This Blog

I got interested in photography when I met my husband. He loved photography since the 80's when he owned a Canon AE1 SLR camera. When we got married, we met a great photographer who inspired me even more. I started taking photos when my husband and I got our DSLR camera back in 2005. I never really shared my photos. But lately, I've been introduced to photoblogging and I saw it to be a great way of expression. My photos are amateur but I hope to learn more as I blog and connect with people.
