Staying Cool
*An old photo--looks refreshing to me and reminds me of a good summer fix*
We've lived in this house for nearly three years now and never did we need air condition. Sure, it gets hot during the summer. On the average, our summer temperature ranges from the seventies to the eighties. It only gets really hot (nineties to the low hundreds) for a few days in the entire year. The summer heat in our area is something we can tolerate--it was hard at times but we managed.
Recently though, we found out that Lucas isn't so tolerant with heat. He has trouble sleeping and gets really crabby when it's warm. In the last six weeks alone we've acquired two fans (in addition to one that we already have) and when that didn't help much we had to shell out some hefty dollars to buy an air conditioning unit.
I guess there are things you have to do with the baby around that you won't do for yourself even if you wanted to--some things we could have just lived without.

this is just the start liz... there is more to come...
air? what are we talking here... our central airconditioning been on all the time since summer began [i am just wondering how much our bill cost this month --- last year we hit $300/month]... but it's a necessity here if our temp is around 100-110F for the next 2months... that's why we're thinking of moving --- its the heat!!!
cuz, i noticed babies and kids here would rather have the cold than heat. i see it all the time with people who have kids. their temps at home, even in winter, have to be at the lower 60s range.
so i'm guessing lucas is now happy and comfy with the conditioning on? :-)
hi liz, ana na gyud na!!! i know a couple who once had to open the fridge to keep their baby cool. and ang ending palit sad sila ug a/c unit! =)
stay cool...
Hi Liz, i love that photo=) its like an advert for a soda company..and yeah its a cool one=)
i can imagine baby Lucas is unable to tolerate heat..its amazing how parents would go to lengths to make their baby comfortable..and i know its worth it..look at it as investment, for better sleep and a happy baby...=)
love the photo liz.

Sus Chi, at first paypayan gyud namo cya! Puli-puli mi sa akong mom ug paypay when he took naps in the afternoon (the hottest time of the day). Actually, ok na man ko ato--the fans helped a bit and it cools down at night, but Charles insisted on buying the A/C kay basin daw mu-init pa.
bitaw, babies and kids like cold temps! baby lucas is so blessed to have you. =)
hahaha!!! don't we all feel the same way right before the bill comes?!
