Photography Means...

A colleague and friend posted this on my Facebook wall today:

"Saw this quote and thought of you ~ Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever . . . it remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything. ~ for the photos you capture, Liza!"

I am deeply humbled and moved by this simple but beautiful message she sent.  I hardly consider myself a "photographer", and I've always aimed not to capture people and places and things.  But moments, feelings and emotions.  And because somebody thought of me when she saw such message, I would like to think that I have somehow achieved what I wanted to do.

Photo:  One of my favorites--a photo I took of my sister-in-law and my new nephew last weekend. I am also learning how to create photocards in PS.  I love scrapbooking, and I'm finding that digital scrapbooking is so much fun too!  I am learning something new everyday.

I always say that our photographs speak a lot about who we are. And your photographs have a lot of gentleness and love and perfection in them.

Love this photo, Liz! :)

Cinds, as I'm sure you know, it is very hard to make photography fit into our schedules. I wish it is something I can do full time. I really like taking and editing photos. And I need to practice more. But thanks for always complimenting my work.

Chel, actually she is my sister-in-law. But you're not the first one who said she looks like me (and my sister). Daghan gyud bitaw niingon nga we look alike. I guess my brother picked somebody nga pareha namo. Hehehe...

Thanks Chel! You often compliment my work and coming from one of the photographers I admire, it means so much to me!

About This Blog

I got interested in photography when I met my husband. He loved photography since the 80's when he owned a Canon AE1 SLR camera. When we got married, we met a great photographer who inspired me even more. I started taking photos when my husband and I got our DSLR camera back in 2005. I never really shared my photos. But lately, I've been introduced to photoblogging and I saw it to be a great way of expression. My photos are amateur but I hope to learn more as I blog and connect with people.
